Meet Our Judges
Dawn Sweeney, Managing Director of Wilfred Edmunds Ltd
Dawn has spent her career working within the business to business magazine and regional newspaper media for over 25 years.
Prior to joining the Derbyshire Times in August 2008 as Managing Director, Dawn spent 4 years as Advertisement Director of Yorkshire Post Newspapers and prior to that 13 years with the Birmingham Post & Mail, publishers of the Birmingham Post and Birmingham Evening Mail Newspapers.
Dawn is married to Alec with two children, Connor, 17 and Megan, 11. |

Glenys Goucher, MBE
Glenys is a former chief executive of North Derbyshire Chamber of Commerce and chair of Connexions Derbyshire, and is now an inspector for the UK Chambers of Commerce network.
She is a member of Derbyshire Police Authority, chairing the finance committee.
She was awarded an MBE in 1995 in recognition of her work for the Chambers and commerce sectors. |

Guy Robinson
Guy is finance director and company secretary of the Chesterfield-based group Robinson, whose business includes plastics and paperboard packaging as well as a significant property portfolio.
With an honours degree in mechanical engineering from Nottingham University, he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1981and joined Robinson as management information systems manager in 1985.
He has held the positions of group finance controller and packaging division financial director and was appointed finance director in 1995. |

Ian Forrest
Ian was appointed chair of Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust, the NHS organisation responsible for the county's health, on July 1. He was previously a non executive director of the PCT and of Derbyshire Dales and South Derbyshire PCT.
For 25 years he worked for British Coal in personnel and then commercial management and latterly managed the privatisation of the industry.
He is chair of governors at Anthony Gell School, Wirksworth. |

Scott Knowles
Scott is director of operations at Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and Derbyshire Enterprise Agency.
With over 10 years experience in the enterprise, technology and service sectors, he manages the growth of Derbyshire Enterprise Agency and champions business crime reduction initiatives in partnership with Derbyshire Constabulary.
Derbyshire Enterprise Agency (DEA) has more than 25 years experience of helping small firms to survive and prosper as well as assisting enterprising individuals to get their business idea off the ground. Over 700 businesses were assisted during 2008 – 2009 delivering services on behalf of Business Link and Job Centre Plus. |
